Arsenal FC striker Viktor Gyokeres says he believes that he has the ability to score more goals for the club and needs to do so more often.
He made these remarks after scoring in Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semifinals.
Despite getting a brace from substitute Alejandro Garnacho, Chelsea’s efforts were thwarted by a brilliant goal from Martin Zubimendi and Gyokeres’ simple finish off a howler from Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.
Speaking after the game to Sky Sports, Gyokeres, who scored his goal since December 20, was happy with the result and added that,
“I think it was a tough game. We defended well. They were, as always, dangerous when they have counter-attacks, but I think we defended well.”

“Unfortunate to have conceded two. That’s what I need to do-to score- and I can do it more often. We won today and we keep going.”

The loss is recently appointed Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenoir’s first since taking charge of the Blues.
