Former British boxing heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has welcomed a fight with fellow former British heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
He made this clear in his comments from ringside after watching Fury score a dominant win over Russian fighter Arslanbek Makhumudov.
In his return fight after a 15 month long retirement, Fury cruised to victory with the judges scoring the bout 120-108, 120-108 and 119-109 all in favour of Fury.
Joshua, who recently returned to training following the loss of two members in his team in a car accident in Nigeria in late 2025, watched the fight from ringside and responded to Tyson Fury’s call for a fight by stating to Netflix,

“You aren’t going to tell me what to do, I’ve been chasing you for 10 years. I’m the boss, you work for me. I’m the landlord. You work for me. In my heart, I’d fight Fury tomorrow, especially after watching that. There is not a problem fighting him.”

“I was in a serious incident maybe four months ago. I need to really check out what is going on with my return to the ring but I’m here, keeping my eye on the game. I am not ducking anyone, there are just things in my life I need to tend to.”
