Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior has insisted Chelsea can still achieve something meaningful this season despite a crushing 3–0 defeat to Manchester City.
The Blues collapsed in the second half at Stamford Bridge, conceding three goals in a devastating 17-minute spell. Nico O’Reilly opened the scoring before Marc Guehi doubled the lead, with Jeremy Doku sealing the emphatic victory.
Rosenior Frustrated by Second-Half Collapse
Speaking after the match, Rosenior cut a visibly frustrated figure as he assessed his side’s performance.
“Massively disappointing… the second-half performance was nowhere near what we wanted or what we expected at half-time,” he admitted.

Chelsea had shown some resilience in the opening 45 minutes, but were unable to cope once City raised their intensity after the break.
Belief Remains Despite Setback
“I’m confident with some time we can create something very special here,” he added.
His comments reflect a focus on rebuilding and long-term progress, even as pressure mounts following a poor run of results.

Chelsea Under Pressure to Respond

With crucial fixtures ahead, Rosenior will be hoping his players respond quickly and translate belief into results on the pitch.
Chelsea’s immediate challenge will be to recover from the setback and rediscover form, as they look to salvage their campaign and push for a strong finish.
