Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has called for the anticipated bout between British heavyweights Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury to be held in the United Kingdom specifically, London.
He said this in an interview with Sky Sports as conversations continue over the venue for the all British fight that has been on the negotiating table for several years.
Despite a reported agreement to have the fight in November this year, the location is yet to be determined as New York and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia are also locations in the running to host the big fight.
However, Sadiq Khan is confident that London is the best location to stage the fight considering the huge level of interest for both fighters.
“I’m a big boxing fan, as you know. We’ve hosted some of the biggest boxing events in history in London during my mayoralty.”

“Many Londoners love both Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. Both Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua recognise the importance of British boxing fans.”
