Arsenal striker, Eddie Nketiah has arrived in Ghana for vacation during the World Cup break.

He was welcomed by Women’s Premier League side Ridge City Football Club alongside his family members.

The 23-year-old is said to be in the country to spend time with his family, watch the World Cup in the country and wile engaging in some charity work.

The forward did not make the cut for Southgate’s World Cup squad with England.

The Arsenal striker is England Under-21s’ record goalscorer with 16 goals in 17 appearances, but he’s yet to be handed his first cap by Gareth Southgate who favours Harry Kane and Callum Wilson

The Ghana FA, in October 2022 reportedly ended their attempts to convince Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah to switch his international allegiance ahead of the World Cup that will be taking place in Qatar.

Nketiah, 23, is eligible to represent Ghana at international level due to his Ghanaian parents and has been considering the switch but at the moment has not made a decision to play for the Black Stars.
