Eight games into the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season, the league has been marked by goalless draws and low scoring games and the former Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender called for young players to be developed better to address the issue.
“Normally, such things you need to start from age 10,12 coming up but here you will find the players when they are 16, 17 years so there are things they have perfected (but) maybe it’s the wrong thing but because he was not taught in the youth stage, he grows up with it and then it becomes part of him. Every team is complaining about it.”

“If we want to deal with this situation, we need to go back to the basics,…we need to continue and then work on the attacking mentality. If we are able to do that I think maybe going forward it can be improved.”
