Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo has identified “playing with freedom” as the reason behind his brilliant start to the 2024-2025 English Premier League season.

He said this in an interview with Sky Sports ahead of AFC Bournemouth’s league tie against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday, November 23 at 15:00 GMT.

In a wide ranging interview, Semenyo spoke about how he benefited from not featuring for the Black Stars during the last international window and went on to speak about how he has registered four goals and an assist in 11 EPL games compared to his output of eight goals and two assists in 33 games last season. “It’s continuing working hard, enjoying the game, just playing with no pressure. I feel like just being easy on the pitch, like, having that freedom is what’s given me my success right now so just need to continue playing with no pressure really just continue to enjoy the game, have fun with the ball and try to rack up as many goals as I can.”
