Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim cast a frustrated figure on the sidelines and in the post-game presser after the Red Devils’ failed to gain enough points to move up to fifth place in the English Premier League standings.
Man United drew 1-1 with West Ham United at Old Trafford in an average display on the back of an encouraging 2-1 win over Crystal Palace this past weekend.
Diogo Dalot scored in the 58th but Soungoutou Magassa’s finish in the 83rd minute via a corner kick cancelled out Man United’s lead and Amorim believes his team should have killed the game off after taking the lead.
“We should have closed the game…the game was there to win. I think the overall performance was not perfect. “

“The game was clearly ours to win. It is really frustrating because you look at the game, you have the game under control and we didn’t win” Amorim said to the BBC.

Man United rank eighth in the league after the draw; Amorim’s side take on Wolves on Monday, December 8 away from home.
