Philadelphia Sixers small forward LeBron James says the team is working on getting its rhythm right as it prepares to compete in the 2026-2027 season with heightened title expectations.
The Sixers head into the upcoming season as one of the title favourites after trading for NBA champion Jaylen Brown and signing four time NBA champion LeBron James.
James played 25 minutes in the Sixers’ 125-120 loss to the Boston Celtics in a pre-season game and largely struggled in the contest.
The 41 year old registered eight points, eight rebounds and seven assists in front of a sold out Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia and commented after the game to the media that,
“We’re getting there. We’re a couple of weeks in. We’re still working on our rhythm, working on our kinks. It’s not going to be perfect.”

“Obviously, we’re just getting together, so it’s not going to be perfect but we’ve got some things we can build on.”

Jaylen Brown, who got traded from Boston to the Sixers this offseason, registered 20 points and eight rebounds in 31 minutes against his former team.
