Coventry City forward Brandon Solomon Thomas-Asante has officially replaced Inaki Williams in the Black Stars roster for a pair of 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers later this month.

Thomas-Asante was drafted in as a late replacement for Williams who picked up a leg injury while playing for Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish La Liga on Saturday, October 4.

The Bilbao captain scored in his team’s 2-1 win over RCD Mallorca but was forced off in the 53rd minute due to the injury that was later reported as a muscle-injury overload in the tensor of the fascia lata of his left leg. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

To replace him, Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has called on Thomas-Asante who has been in red hot for Frank Lampard’s Coventry City in the EFL Championship.
