Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo returned to action for Man City to aid the club clinch a 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Premier League.
The 26 year old was absent in Man City’s shock 3-1 loss to Bodo-Glimt in the UEFA Champions League because he isn’t eligible to compete in the tournament yet.
Semenyo scored Man City’s second goal after bending the ball into the net from the edge of the box off a brilliant first touch from a Bernardo Silva pass in added on time in the first half. Scroll down to watch goal.
The goal was Semenyo’s first in the league at the Etihad Stadium since joining City from AFC Bournemouth. Semenyo scored on his home debut in City’s 10-1 win over Exeter City in the FA Cup.

Since joining Man City earlier this month, the Black Stars player has scored three goals and registered an assist (four goal contributions) in four games in all competitions. In the 2025-2026 season, Semenyo has 11 goals and three assists in 22 games in the league.

On the contrary, Semenyo has largely struggled to replicate his fine form for Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team as he has just three goals in 32 games for the Black Stars.
