Arsenal stayed firmly in the Premier League title race with a narrow 1-0 victory over Burnley at the Emirates, as Kai Havertz’s first-half header proved enough to secure all three points.
The win ensures Mikel Arteta’s side maintain pressure on leaders Manchester City, with the title race entering its final stretch. Burnley, meanwhile, remain near the bottom of the table after another disciplined but ultimately unsuccessful display.
Arsenal took control early on but struggled to create clear chances from open play against a well-organised Burnley side, who stayed compact and limited space in the final third.
The breakthrough arrived in the 37th minute from a familiar source. Bukayo Saka delivered a precise corner into the box, and Havertz rose highest at the near post to guide a glancing header beyond the Burnley goalkeeper. The finish gave Arsenal a deserved lead based on possession, even if clear-cut openings had been limited.
Burnley offered occasional threat on the break, with Anthony among their most lively players, but they rarely troubled Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya in the first half.

After the break, Arsenal continued to control possession without fully killing the game off. Martin Ødegaard and Declan Rice dictated midfield play, while Saka remained the most dangerous outlet on the right.
Burnley’s best spell came around the hour mark, when they briefly pushed higher up the pitch and tested Arsenal’s defensive concentration, but they were unable to turn promising positions into shots on target of real significance.
Mikel Arteta reacted with a series of substitutions, introducing Viktor Gyökeres, Piero Hincapié and Myles Lewis-Skelly to add energy and maintain control. Despite the changes, Arsenal still struggled to find a second goal that would have eased late tension.
Burnley continued to push into stoppage time, including a late long throw into the Arsenal area, but the home side managed the closing stages with composure as Arteta urged his players towards the final whistle.
The result extends Arsenal’s strong home form and keeps them within touching distance of the top of the table, with City’s result still to come in the context of a tense title fight.
For Burnley, it was another night of frustration in a season where clear chances of survival have become increasingly difficult to find.
Arsenal now turn their attention to the final stages of the campaign, knowing that every point could prove decisive in their pursuit of a long-awaited league crown.
