Ghana’s Black Maidens have been drawn in Group C of the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, where they will face Brazil, Canada and Norway.
The draw presents a tough challenge for the Black Maidens as they return to the global stage for the tournament in Morocco later this year.
Ghana secured qualification in dramatic fashion, beating Senegal 7-6 on penalties after the final qualifying tie ended 2-2 on aggregate. Both legs finished 1-1, with the decisive shootout in Accra sending the Black Maidens through.
They will now look to carry that resilience into a difficult group featuring three of the world’s strongest youth teams.
The Black Maidens have a proud history at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, regularly showcasing Ghana’s emerging talent, and will be hoping to make another strong impression in Morocco.
