Liam Rosenoir has agreed to join English Premier League side Chelsea FC with the Englishman describing the move as an opportunity to join an incredible club.
Rosenoir is set to step in as the replacement for Enzo Maresca who parted ways with the club after falling out with the Blues top hierarchy coupled with an uneven run of results.
The 42 year old coach led Strasbourg to seventh place in the French Ligue 1 standings in his first year in charge of the club that has deep connections to Chelsea. Strasbourg qualified to compete in the Europa Conference League in the process.
Despite clear indications that Rosenoir will become Chelsea’s next head coach, the former Brighton and Hove Albion player said that he hadn’t been officially appointed yet.

“I cannot turn down this opportunity to join an incredible club, incredible squad who are Club World Cup champions. I haven’t signed yet. Everything is agreed and it will probably go through in the next few hours” Rosenoir said according to the BBC.

Chelsea secured a 1-1 draw with Manchester City after Maresca’s exit.
