Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has been named as the Man of the Match in AFC Bournemouth’s 2-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park.
The win in the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup pushes Bournemouth into the next round of the competition while ending Everton’s brilliant run since David Moyes was appointed manager to replace Sean Dyche.
Semenyo scored Bournemouth’s first goal from the penalty spot with a ferocious conversion to rifle the ball past Jordan Pickford in the 23rd minute.
The Black Stars player played out the entire duration of the game and completed 17 of 27 passes while registering two shots on target.
He won six of 13 ground duels, made an interception and registered two tackles in all; he also made six clearances in the game.

Scoring against Everton means that Semenyo has three goal contributions (two goals and an assist) in three FA Cup games. 26 games into the 2024-2025 season in all competitions, Semenyo has nine goals and four assists.
