Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz named a 23 man squad for his first game since taking over as the lead technical man for Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team. (Scroll down to view the full list of the squad)

Ghana takes on Mexico on May 22 in an international friendly game ahead of the Black Stars’ participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup where the Black Stars are scheduled to take on England, Croatia and Panama at the group stage.

Six Ghana Premier League players were named in the squad including Accra Hearts of Oak back up goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi, Dreams FC goalkeeper Gidios Aseako and Medeama midfielder Salim Adams.

However, Hearts of Oak starting goalkeeper Benjamin Asare was not included in the squad for the Mexico game.

Asare has consistently started for the Black Stars since excelling during the 2026 World Cup qualifiers under former Black Stars head coach Otto Addo.
